We work with high-quality Akoya, Tahitian, and premium freshwater pearls, selected for their luster, structure, and lasting elegance.

Here’s a bit more about where our pearls come from:

Our Freshwater Pearls are carefully selected from China, renowned for their quality and luminous luster.

Our Akoya Pearls are sourced directly from Japan, home to some of the finest Akoya pearls in the world.

Our South Sea Gold Pearls are handpicked from the Philippines and Indonesia, known for their rich golden tones.

Our South Sea White Pearls come from Australia, celebrated for their impressive size and radiant white sheen.

Beyond origin, we place great emphasis on selection. Each pearl is carefully chosen based on its luster, surface quality, shape, and overall balance before being incorporated into our designs.

At GINGIBERI, our pearl grading reflects a careful balance of visual beauty, structural quality, and overall harmony.

For our Aurora Pearls and Akoya Pearls, we evaluate each piece based on key criteria such as luster, surface clarity, shape, and rarity.

Grades range from higher to more classic qualities, with distinctions in brightness, roundness, the presence of natural flaws, and overall rarity. Higher-grade pearls display stronger luster, more refined surfaces, and a more balanced, near-round form, while lower grades may show a softer glow, more organic shapes, or visible natural characteristics.

For Baroque Pearls, grading follows a more nuanced approach that embraces their organic nature. Instead of strict symmetry, we assess factors including:

Orders & Changes

Your order number is usually 4 or 5 digits. You can find it in your order confirmation email or under My Account → Orders.

As for packaging, the main difference between our Gift Wrapping and Eco-Friendly Packaging lies in their design and materials. With Gift Wrapping, each piece of jewelry comes in a velvet jewelry box, offering an elegant and luxurious presentation that’s perfect for gifting occasions. By contrast, our Eco-Friendly Packaging is crafted from biodegradable and eco-conscious materials, prioritizing sustainability while maintaining a compact, minimalist design — ideal for those who value environmental responsibility.

At the moment, our Gift Wrapping and Eco-Friendly Packaging are not available as standalone items and cannot be shipped on their own. They are offered as part of a jewelry purchase to ensure proper presentation and protection during delivery.

We’d like to let you know that while we have warehouses in the USA, UK, and China, all of our pearl jewelry is shipped from our main warehouse in China. As you may know, China is the world’s largest hub for both freshwater and saltwater pearl distribution.

We’ve partnered with GUILD Gem Laboratory, one of the world’s most respected gemological institutions, to offer third-party certification for select pieces.

Known for its scientific rigor and global grading system, GUILD brings independent validation to our already elevated standards.

We introduced GUILD third-party certification to meet the needs of customers who value formal verification.

Even without a certificate, every GINGIBERI pearl is meticulously hand-selected by our team to ensure top-tier quality in luster, shape, surface clarity, and overall harmony.

Please note that the evaluation criteria used by third-party laboratories may differ slightly from our internal selection standards. For customers who have specific requirements regarding commercial naming or prefer independent certification, we recommend choosing pieces that include a GUILD certificate.

If you choose the IGI diamond certificate option, each diamond will be individually graded by the International Gemological Institute (IGI), one of the world’s most respected gemological laboratories.

All certified diamonds meet GINGIBERI’s strict selection standards, including the D–F color range (colorless), VVS–VS clarity (very slight inclusions), and the Triple Excellent standard in cut, polish, and symmetry. This combination ensures exceptional brilliance, refined craftsmanship, and lasting value, giving you full confidence in the quality and authenticity of your piece.

We offer IGI third-party certification to meet the needs of customers who value formal verification. Even without a certificate, every GINGIBERI diamond is carefully hand-selected by our team to meet high standards in brilliance, proportion, finish, and overall beauty.

For customers with specific preferences regarding commercial naming or those who prefer independent certification, we recommend choosing pieces that include an IGI certificate.

Our lab-grown diamonds are grown in China, one of the world’s leading producers of lab-grown diamonds. Each stone is then cut and polished in India, a globally renowned center for diamond craftsmanship, ensuring optimal brilliance and precision.

“Silver blue” does not refer to a vivid blue color, but rather to a cool-toned pearl with a silvery overtone, which often appears closer to light gray or silver-gray.

In addition, a pearl’s color is highly influenced by lighting and surroundings. Under warm lighting or in everyday wear, the blue tone may appear less noticeable, making the pearls look more gray. Only under cooler lighting or certain angles will a subtle blue overtone become visible.

“Silver Blue Akoya” is an industry classification, and its actual visual range typically falls within:

silver gray → light gray → soft blue-gray

Therefore, it is completely normal for silver blue Akoya pearls to appear more like light gray.

Design & Style Differences

The difference between the two styles lies in the details of the design:

Diamond Only: This style features a clean and minimalist look, with a diamond placed above the pearl for a classic, timeless elegance. The focus is entirely on the diamond and pearl combination.

Diamond & Guilloché: This style includes intricate Guilloché patterns on the metal setting beneath the diamond, adding texture and depth to the design. The Guilloché engraving enhances the overall aesthetic with an extra touch of sophistication and artistry.

Both are stunning options, and the choice depends on whether you prefer a simpler look or a more detailed, decorative style.

The main difference between the Duet Necklace and the Gourd Necklace lies in the type of pearls used, which gives each piece a slightly different character.

The Gourd Necklace is crafted with Aurora pearls. These pearls have a soft, gentle luster with a slightly warm undertone, creating an elegant and understated look.

The Duet Necklace is made with Akoya pearls, which feature a noticeably stronger luster. They often display a subtle pink overtone, giving the necklace a brighter and more radiant appearance.

The price difference between NIVELLE and NEPTUNE primarily stems from the certification.

NIVELLE is certified by The Pearl Science Laboratory in Japan. This institution specializes in identifying and grading Akoya pearls, which are known for their exceptional quality.

This rigorous and specialized certification gives NIVELLE pearls a strong collectible value, which is reflected in their higher price.

Product Guidance & Support

We would like to reassure you that all of our products are exactly as described on our website. If you wish to have the piece verified, we fully support any third-party authentication.

When pearls and metal components come into contact, prolonged friction over time may cause slight wear to the protective layer on the metal or create very fine abrasions on the surface of the pearl. These areas can more easily accumulate residue, which may give the appearance of darkening. Please rest assured that this is not a defect in the quality of the materials, but rather a common and natural occurrence with regular wear.

For this situation, we kindly recommend visiting a local professional jeweler for a thorough cleaning. If any professional cleaning fees are incurred, we would be happy to reimburse you.

Alternatively, we also offer a complimentary in-house cleaning service. If you prefer this option, you may return the item to our warehouse and we will be happy to provide the address. Once the cleaning is completed, we will ship the item back to you. Please note that this process may take approximately 60 days.

With regular wear over time, butterfly backs may naturally become slightly loose, which is a common occurrence. We do have a small tip that may help. You can gently press the two “wings” of the butterfly back inward. Please make sure to remove the backing from the earring before making this adjustment, as it should be adjusted on its own rather than while attached. Once the gap in the center becomes slightly narrower, the earring back should feel more secure when worn.

This is because pearls are round rather than flat, so it can be difficult to align a ruler precisely with the widest diameter, which may result in slightly smaller measurements.

In addition, rulers have limited precision, and even a slight change in angle can affect the reading.

In the jewelry industry, pearl sizes are measured using a professional caliper rather than a ruler. At GINGIBERI, we carefully measure every pearl with a professional caliper before shipping.

As pearls are often near-round rather than perfectly spherical, measurements may vary slightly depending on the angle, and different sides of the pearl may show slightly different readings. This is completely normal.

As the issuance of a Guild Gem Lab Certificate is subject to specific requirements, not all items are eligible for certification after purchase. If your item meets the criteria, you will be required to return it to us for further evaluation.

Each Guild Gem Lab Certificate is uniquely matched to a specific piece of jewelry. Every certificate includes a dedicated serial number that corresponds exclusively to one item. This one-to-one matching is what gives the certificate its meaning and value, confirming the identity, authenticity, and rarity of the piece.

For this reason, the item must be re-examined before a certificate can be issued. Once we receive your email, we will first review your order and product to determine eligibility. If applicable, we will guide you through the return process.

After receiving the item, the certification process typically takes approximately 14 days for professional assessment and issuance.

Please note that the issuance of a Guild Gem Lab Certificate involves a fee. Each certificate is the result of a detailed and professional evaluation, rather than a mass-produced document. Product Care & Maintenance

14K and 18K gold are highly resistant to tarnishing due to their gold content and are designed for long-term wear.

The difference in their composition affects how they interact with the environment:

18K Gold (75% Pure Gold): With a very high gold content, 18K gold is exceptionally resistant to oxidation and maintains its rich, warm glow even with daily wear.

14K Gold (58.5% Pure Gold): 14K gold is balanced with other metals to provide extra hardness and durability. While still highly tarnish-resistant, it may occasionally show slight dullness if exposed to harsh chemicals or extreme moisture over long periods.

Maintenance: If your jewelry ever loses its luster, it is usually due to surface buildup (like soap or oils). A gentle wipe with a soft cloth will restore its original shine.

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your pearls and gold jewelry, we recommend the following care:

For Pearls

Pearls are delicate and require gentle handling. Avoid contact with water, perfumes, cosmetics, and chemicals, as these may damage the nacre and affect their luster. After wearing, gently wipe pearls with a soft cloth and store them separately to prevent scratches.

For Gold Jewelry (14K & 18K)

Gold is relatively durable, but frequent exposure to chemicals, sweat, or rough surfaces may affect its finish over time. We recommend removing your jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising, and storing it in a clean, dry place.

General Care Tips

With proper care, your jewelry will maintain its beauty for years to come.

While some materials are more durable than others, we generally do not recommend wearing your jewelry in the shower or while swimming.

Pearls are highly sensitive to moisture, chemicals, and acidity. Exposure to water, soap, shampoo, or chlorine can gradually weaken the nacre and diminish their luster.

Sterling silver is prone to oxidation and may tarnish more quickly when exposed to humidity, chlorine, or salt water.

14K and 18K gold are relatively stable, but frequent exposure to soap, detergents, or chlorinated water may cause surface dullness or long-term wear.

Diamonds are durable, but residues from personal care products can accumulate on the surface, reducing their brilliance and clarity over time.
