2. FILTER Mirror-Like Luster

A pearl’s value lies in the harmony of its luster, shape, surface purity, and overall presence. We select pearls with a "mirror effect" that can clearly reflect a silhouette. Even our freshwater pearls possess a radiance that rivals saltwater varieties, ensuring high-end appeal from a social distance.

Top 5% Spherical Selection

Natural pearls come in infinite shapes; we only accept the top 5% that meet our perfect roundness criteria.

The Highest Grading Tiers

All GINGIBERI pearls are guaranteed to fall within the top tiers: "Noble," "Magnificent," or "Superior." Our internal standards are so strict that pearls we grade as "3A" often receive even higher professional ratings from third-party labs like GILD, with some of our "2A" pearls being certified as Hanadama (Flower Pearl).

How to Distinguish a "Top-Tier" Pearl

Luster is the most vital factor in determining quality. It refers to the intensity and sharpness of the light reflected from the pearl's surface.

The "Mirror" Test: A high-quality pearl acts like a mirror. You should see a crisp, clear reflection of yourself on the surface.

Gingiberi Standard: we only select pearls with Metallic or Mirror-like Luster. If the reflection is blurry or chalky, it fails our filter.

Nacre is the natural crystalline substance that forms the pearl. Its thickness dictates how long the pearl will retain its glow.

The Durability Factor: Thin nacre leads to a "dull" look over time. Thick nacre (usually >0.5mm for saltwater) ensures the pearl’s radiance lasts for generations.

Scientific Scale: We use FGA-level microscopic analysis to ensure our nacre thickness meets the "Long-term Beauty" requirement.

While 100% flawless pearls are incredibly rare, the "cleanliness" of the surface determines their elegance.Deep Screening: We look for the absence of pits, spots, cracks, or bumps.

The "Social Distance" Rule: Our pearls must appear Near-Flawless to the naked eye, ensuring a smooth, high-end texture from every angle.

In the world of natural gems, a perfect sphere is the rarest and most difficult to cultivate.

Geometric Perfection: The rounder the pearl, the higher its value and the more "modern" it looks in jewelry design.

The Top 5%: We bypass off-round or semi-round pearls, selecting only the Top 5% Perfect Spheres to honor the pursuit of perfection.

Beyond the body color (white, gold, etc.), a premium pearl possesses a "shimmer" or "glow" that sits just above the surface.

The Rainbow Effect: Look for subtle hints of pink, silver, or blue overtones.

Vibrancy: A "good" pearl is white; a "great" pearl is alive with color, shifting its hue as you move, creating a multi-dimensional visual experience.
